Black Wings Has My Angel
By Elliott Chaze. What a great book! I loved it. Literally. Loved. It was about a crime, but was so deeply literary in so many ways. The dialogue between the characters. The descriptions of the interior worlds of - not just the characters - but all humans - really shone. It made you think throughout the book, even if it was a crime novel. I highly recommend this book. Ok, I bought War and Peace to read during the Covid-19 lockdown. I started it and didn't like the translation, so I got another copy. Now it is time to crack that book open and start reading it. I've put this off long enough. :) Wish me luck!
